Objective of the study was to analyze and generalize the experience in the application of remote education technologies in the Physical Education and Sports discipline. Methods and structure of the study. The study was carried out at the premises of Elabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University and involved the first-year full-time students (n=178), who were divided into the Control (CG) (n=92) and Experimental (EG) (n=86) Groups. While assimilating the educational materials, the CG students developed their knowledge during lectures and by preparing reports to present in practical sessions. The EG subjects studied the lecture materials remotely, prepared reports to present in practical sessions and carried out the project work. To determine the effectiveness of application of the electronic educational resource in the academic Physical Education and Sports discipline, the results of the level and final tests were compared and analyzed. Results and conclusions. The final test results confirmed the semester trend: the EG students performed better (84.57%) than the CG ones (78.34%). The experiment showed that the application of remote education technologies in the academic Physical Education and Sports discipline improves the academic progress of students by making the educational process more accessible and flexible, considering individual educational needs of students, as well as the pace and rhythm of assimilation of the learning material.
