Abstract:
© 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG. The article justifies the formation of intercultural competence need among university students in the terms of digital education. The priority role of a foreign language academic discipline in the formation of the foregoing competence is determined. The main problems of the intercultural competence development, a variety of basic pedagogical approach provisions aimed at tolerance nurturing of the younger generation and facilitating to a holistic perception of the cultural picture of the world structured by languages and the value systems of each nationality are considered.
