The rapid development of information technologies determines the emergence of new genres and formats of journalism. Convergence, transformation and diffusion of both channels of information distribution and its content are noted by many foreign scholars. This tendency is also typical for Kazakhstani media space, where Internet media are gaining popularity, providing users with information 24/7. Despite the significant differences between the traditional and innovative mass-media,media, the unit of information distribution in both of is news. The traditional journalism widely exploits such principle of placing news as an inverted pyramid; the Internet media adopted this method and actively use it as well. At the same time, as the conducted analysis of news portals and online versions of national and regional newspapers demonstrates, the news published in the innovative media is characterized by a number of distinctive features. In particular, it is the creolized nature of the news report, the gradualness of the information provision, informative headlines, and the availability of hyperlinks to external information sources.
