THEORETICAL PREREQUISITES FOR THE TRANSLATION OF TITLES OF ENGLISH-LANGUAGE SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES IN THE FIELD OF LINGUISTICS

Abstract

Актуальность исследуемой проблемы обусловлена необходимостью быстрого поиска научной информации и полноценного восприятия изложенных данных на английском языке как языке международного общения. Цель статьи заключается в исследовании теоретических основ и выявлении специфики перевода заголовков научных статей. В результате исследования были рассмотрены особенности заголовка как структурного элемента научной статьи. Материалы статьи могут быть полезными для специалистов, работающих в области теории и практики перевода, а также стилистики научного текста в английском и русском языках.

The relevance of the problem under study is due to the need for a quick search for scientific information and a full-fledged perception of the data presented in English, as the language of international communication. The purpose of the article is to study the theoretical foundations and identify the specifics of the translation of the titles of scientific articles. As a result of the study, the features of the title as a structural element of a scientific article were considered. The materials of the article may be useful for specialists working in the field of theory and practice of translation, as well as the stylistics of scientific text in English and Russian.
