Abstract:
Microelectronics is one of the drivers of the world economy. The global pandemic (Covid-19) has negatively influenced on mostly all industries and sectors of the world economy, including microelectronics. Some results of such influence on microelectronics and short-term trends already can be estimated after the first difficult year of the civilization's life. The paper represents a view of the trends in the development of microelectronic market and design technologies after a year of pandemic, based on the actual statistical data from various open sources. The economic aspects in comparison of the results for 2019 and 2020 years, the technological aspects of development, as well as trends in design and verification are considered.
