On the Number of Empty Cells in a Non-Homogeneous Allocation Scheme

Abstract

Abstract: It considered a non-homogeneous allocation scheme of distinguishable particles by different cells. We proved gaussian and Poisson limit theorems for the number of empty cells from the first K cells. These results we apply to study the type I error and the type II error in select analogs of the empty box test.
