The three most damaging effects of road construction and management are noise, dust and vibrations. This work is devoted to determining environmental evaluation and optimal cost to build a road (a highway pf the technical category 1B), based on the conditions of costs for the construction of the environmental considerations, subgrade and excavation, the cost of all structural layers of the pavement, the cost of land transferred to a permanent allotment. The relevance of the study is conditioned by the fact that the road cost is high at the moment, and using the proposed method, it is possible to select the optimal geometry of the structure, which meets the condition of minimum costs for the construction. The reliability of the research results is conditioned by the fact that the work uses a mathematical model of the highway design features, and the simplex method was chosen to determine the optimal values. The reliability of the model was tested on test problems, with a predetermined result.
