The problem of diffraction of the intrinsic wave of awaveguide incident on the diaphragm (hole in the wall of theresonator) is solved. The paired series functional equations ofthe diffraction problem, by the method of integral-adderidentities, are reduced to an infinite set of linear algebraicequations, which is solved by the truncation method. The initialdiffraction problem is studied from the point of view of theresonant passage of the wave through the resonator region. Acomputational experiment has shown that partial or completepassage of a wave through a resonator with holes is observed onlyat frequencies close to the eigen frequencies of the resonatorwithout holes, while the holes in the resonator walls (diaphragmparameters) significantly affect the scattering matrix of thiswaveguide structure.
