© 2020 IEEE. The paper analyzes the features that arise in the process of information transmition using a multi-position amplitude-phase-shift signal with N discrete states through a nonparametric, frequency-selective communication channel with intersymbol interference. We consider a class of channels utilizing the theory of resolution time. The greatest attention is paid to a study of properties of 'transparency windows' in the presence of adverse factors such as frequency detuning and envelope and phase measurement errors introduced by the receiving device. Due to the obtained results recommendations are made to increase the speed in such communication channels.
