This causes the low quality factors for plasmonic resonators of conventional materials. Nonlinear plasmonics attracts an interest as platform for controlling of light propagation as well as for its enhancement. In this work we demonstrate that stimulated Raman scattering of pump field energetically supports the propagation of plasmons on the surface of nonlinear plasmonic material. Here we solve nonlinearly coupled wave equations for surface plasmon-polariton (SPP) modes in case of stimulated Raman scattering and demonstrate the extension of SPP propagation distance. We believe that Raman-based active plasmonics makes one step closer to the development of efficient plasmonic devices.
