Статья посвящена вопросу возникновения искусства ручного изготовления бумаги и становления художественной техники papermaking. В работе анализируется история появления бумаги на Востоке и ее распространение по разным странам Европы. Сделан вывод о разном отношении к данному материалу на Востоке и Западе. В качестве самостоятельного культурного феномена рассматривается японская бумага Васи. Объясняется причина возрождения интереса к ручному изготовлению бумаги среди художников и дизайнеров. Раскрывается педагогический потенциал данной техники в развитии детей.
The article is devoted to the issue of the emergence of the art of manual paper making and the formation of the art technique papermaking. The work analyses the history of paper appearance in the East and its distribution to different countries of Europe. It was concluded that this material was treated differently in the East and the West. Japanese paper Vasi is considered as an independent cultural phenomenon. The reason for the revival of interest in manual paper production among artists and designers is explained. The pedagogical potential of this technique in the development of children is revealed.
