Abstract:

The paper presents the analysis of the role of digital literacy in the “third age” generation’s adapting to the conditions of the modern information society. Based on the analysis of the results of a sociological survey conducted by means of quantitative and qualitative methodology, various parameters of the use of digital technologies by the older generation are revealed. It is justified that e-literacy can contribute to enhancing social position, improving the quality of life, and intensifying intergenerational and intragenerational interactions.
