Abstract

1. Polarization and polarizability parameters have been determined for phosphoryl bonds in axial and equatorial positions. 2. Components of the polarizability ellipsoid for the P-H bond have been calculated. 3. 2-Hydro-2-oxo-5,5-dimethyl-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane exists as an equilibrium mixture of conformers, 80-90% equatorial and 20-10% axial. © 1978 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
