Abstract:
It was shown that the fractional dissolution of organic soil components based on elution from a column using an cluent with continuously increasing dissolving power can be used for characterizing the affinity of soil organic matter to mineral soil components. The affinity was estimated from spatial hindrances to the solubilization of macromolecules. The main factors determining the fractional dissolution dynamics of organic matter in the humus profiles of forest-steppe chernozems are the presence of organic residues and texture. © Pleiades Publishing, Inc. 2006.
