Calculation of composite shells on the base of Timoshenko's hypothesis and the method of finite elements

Abstract

A finite element of a multilayer composite shell of the arbitrary form is described. It is constructed on the basis of three-dimensional equations of the elasticity theory, isoparametric approximation of geometry and displacements, hypothesis on the rectilinearity of the normal and numerical integration by the surface coordinates.
