Abstract:
The effects of the anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate on complex formation of 2-dimethylaminomethylphenol (1) with copper(II) in aqueous solutions and on the kinetics of the reactions of copper(II) complexes of 1 with 4-nitrophenylbis(chloromethyl)phosphinate (2) were studied. The reactivities of the complexes in these reactions are higher than that of 1 at all concentrations of SDS studied (0.010-0.200 mol L-1) with pH 7-9. © 1996 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
