The effects of nonlocality in time of interaction of an atom with its surroundings on the spectral line broadening were investigated. It was found that for the most values of the parameters the broadening of the spectral line profile does not differ from the Lorentzian line. However, in some cases nonlocality in time of interaction of an atom with its surroundings can give rise to the spectral line splittings.
