The concept and methodology of the restoration of small lakes

Abstract

Based on the global, domestic, and regional experience of the restoration of lake ecosystems, the concept and methodology of the restoration of small freshwater lakes was proposed. Scientific and theoretical foundations, objectives, tasks, principles, and criteria of restoration were determined. The methodology of restoration is based upon the choice of methods depending on the indices of ecological state of water bodies.
