Abstract

1. By the action of 1,3-propanediol and of 1,3-butanediol on phosphorus trichloride, the cyclic compounds, trimethylene phosphorochloridite and 1-methyltrimethylene phosphorochloridite, have been prepared. 2. By reaction of the phosphorochloridites with alcohols in presence of dimethylaniline, the following mixed esters have been synthesized:[Figure not available: see fulltext.] Some of their properties have been studied. © 1953 Consultants Bureau.
