Ethylene ester of phosphorochloridodithious acid, and related substancess

Abstract

1. By the action of phosphorous trichloride on 1,2-ethanedithiol a cyclic ester of phosphorochloridodithious acid has been prepared. 2. Mixed ω-alkyl ethylene esters of phsophorodithious acid have been prepared both by the action of an alcohol on ethylene phosphorochloridodithioite in presence of pyridine, and also by the action of Menshutkin's acid chloride on ethanedithiol. 3. The ω-alkyl ethylene phosphorodithioites obtained react with alkyl halides (methyl iodide, triphenylmethyl bromide). The structures of the products obtained have not been established. © 1953 Consultants Bureau.
