The article deals with the problem of globalization and the disappearance of decorative and applied art in the modern industrial world. With the transition to market relations, the economic base of folk art crafts was undermined. Decorative and applied art loses its utilitarian implications, and researchers and scientists say
that for the further development of decorative and applied art of these peoples it is very important to restore the former value to the created works. The development of decorative art in different periods of its existence has experienced periods of ups and downs, but the situation that has developed today is particularly critical. The article considers possible solutions. Most of the traditional types of folk art were on
the verge of extinction. To a large extent, the artistic and stylistic features and technological peculiarities of production associated with manual labor were lost. One of the main reasons for the decline was the weakening of state support.
