Hydropower in Kazakhstan

Abstract

This work provides an overview of the current state of hydropower in Kazakhstan. It examines the main characteristics of the country's hydropower resources, such as geographical distribution, potential and main types of hydropower installations. Particular attention is paid to current projects for the development of hydropower in Kazakhstan, and the factors influencing their implementation, including economic, environmental and social aspects, are analyzed. In conclusion, recommendations are offered for optimizing the hydropower development strategy in Kazakhstan, taking into account modern challenges and the requirements of sustainable development.
