АНТИЧНЫЕ И ВАРВАРСКИЕ ТРАДИЦИИ В КУЛЬТУРЕ ДРЕВНЕГО ТАНАИСА

Abstract

В статье изучается вопрос формирования уникальной синкретичной культуры, характерной для одного из узловых центров Боспорского царства - городища Танаис, в 2009 г. включенного в Предварительный Список ЮНЕСКО от Российской Федерации. Рассматривается как взаимодействие прибывших эллинов с кочевавшими на этой территории племенами меотов и сармат в период существования Танаиса в нач. III в. до н.э. - сер. V н.э., их седентеризация, взаимовлияние, так и племен, кочевавших в данном геокультурном регионе впоследствии и оказавших влияние на население Российской империи и, соответственно, современного Российского государства

The article examines the formation of a unique syncretic culture, typical for one of the nodal centres of the Bosporan Kingdom, the ancient settlement of Tanais, which in 2009 was included intothe Russian Federation Tentative List - a first step for the inscription of the property into UNESCO World Heritage List. The authors analyze interaction between the Hellenes arriving here with the local nomadic Maeotian and Sarmatian tribes during the existence of Tanais in the early III century BC - middle of Vcentury AD, sedentarization of the latter and their mutual influence. They also address the issue of nomadic tribes that roamed in this geo-cultural region and subsequently influenced the population of the Russian Empire and, consequently, the modern Russian state
