dc.description.abstract | Abstract: New findings of Middle Permian plant remains that have been presented to the Earth Science Museum of the Moscow State University are discussed. The new samples significantly add to and expand the paleobotanic collection of the museum. A few highly attractive and scientifically important specimens (equisetophytes Annulina neuburgiana (Radczenko) Neuburg and leptosporangiate ferns Pecopteris anthriscifolia (Goeppert) Zalessky) will be used for exhibitions, as well as for scientific–educational projects of the museum. The finding of cycadophyte leaves adds to the ideas on the migration of warm tropical elements in the Middle Permian to the areas with Boreal plants of the Angara type. | |
