dc.description.abstract	The article examines the reflection on the pages of the provincial government periodicals of the financial policy pursued at the end of the 19th century. It reveals the role of the Ministry of Finance in public administration of the period under review. Authors confirm the conclusion about the special significance of the activities of the Ministry of Finance for the economic development of the country.
