dc.description.abstract	Abstract: Polyhalide salts of acetonitrile copper(I) complex cations [Cu(CH3CN)4]Br5 (1) and Cu(CH3CN)4]I5 (2) have been obtained by reactions of copper(II) bromide and copper(I) iodide with the corresponding dihalogen in acetonitrile solution and the corresponding hydrohalic acid. According to the X‑ray diffraction data, in both cases, polyhalide anions form complex supramolecular structures.
