dc.description.abstract © 2020, Allerton Press, Inc. Abstract: Attention focuses on the production of the spherical front surface of a ball-end mill, close to the transition from the cylindrical section. Analysis of the possible interference of the grinding wheel and the mill permits recommendations for decreasing the errors. The shaping errors due to plane approximation of the curvilinear front surface are discussed.
