dc.description.abstract © 2020. All Rights Reserved. Environmental conservation games constitute activities designed to raise awareness and enable behavioural change toward the conservation of ecological resources. This article discusses the results of computer games developed by students in the pursuit of studying the subjects of environmental conservation. We gave examples of assignments and students' work. Students are motivated to complete tasks related to game development. Students themselves are familiar with computer games and are interested in the process of their creation. During the accomplishment of tasks with the use of the Unity development environment, programming and modelling skills are fostered; students demonstrate creative thinking and independence. It was noticed that students less commonly choose that variant of task where it is necessary to repeat actions using the stepwise instructions. In most cases, they independently develop simple games, demonstrating a creative approach. While creating games, students are introduced to the principles of materials presentation and knowledge control in learning with the use of information technology.
