Towards a Parallel Informal/Formal Corpus of Educational Mathematical Texts in Russian

We present a semantically annotated corpus of educational mathematical texts in Russian. This corpus consists of mathematical statements extracted from educational mathematical textbooks, manually annotated by its formula representation in LaTeX and by formalization of the formula in OpenMath. The corpus is intended to be used as training and test collections for automatic formalization of educational mathematical documents. We are going to adopt it in the development of the components of a new digital educational platform, which is intended for solving such tasks as automatic knowledge testing and automatic recommendation of educational materials according to an individual study plan. We hope, that our work can help to build bridges between formalized mathematics and digital education domains.
