dc.description.abstract	© 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. This article deals with experimental definition of the electric arc moving speed and develops relation of current strength change at interelectrode gap 2, 3 and 4 mm considering different consumption of orifice gas. Shadow photographs of the electric arc and traces on the electrodes have been also provided.
