Separately, new views on the etiology and pathogenesis of genetic epileptic encephalopathies, focal epilepsy and idiopathic generalized epilepsies are examined. The authors emphasize the importance of genetic discoveries for the clinical practice, including the prospects in the development of patients’ personalized treatment. A comparative analysis of the value of various methods of genetic research in the diagnosis of epilepsy, methods of integrating molecular genetic analyses into everyday practical medicine is presented. | |
