Основная тема эпохи характеризует состояние человеческого общества на определенном этапе своего развития. Она является и целью, к которой стремится человечество. Мир и развитие - так основную тему эпохи определил архитектор китайских реформ Дэн Сяопин. Эта тема стала доминантой внешней политики КНР в период реформ и открытости. В статье анализируется генезис, становление и эволюция "мира и развития" как основной темы эпохи реформ и открытости.
