dc.description.abstract | © 2019, Springer Nature Switzerland AG. Reliability is currently one of the factors affecting the competitiveness of vehicles. Vehicles become highly reliable due to the integrated approach to all stages of their “life cycle”: design, production and operation. The most important for the manufacturer is the warranty service, because this stage is characterized by an increased probability of failure, and the manufacturer takes responsibility for their elimination. The authors propose to take into account the risks of failures of various units, assemblies and systems of the car during the appointment of the warranty period. This study used the statistics of failures received from the dealer and the service network, and from the reliability department of the engine manufacturer. The results of the study show that the use of the proposed methodology will reduce the costs of the truck manufacturer. | |
