dc.description.abstract © 2019 IEEE. Directivities, spectra, and thresholds of laser modes of an equilateral triangular active microcavity with a piercing hole are calculated numerically solving the Lasing Eigenvalue Problem on the basis of the set of Muller boundary integral equations. An effective Nyström approximation is used. The computational experiments demonstrate that a hole located at certain place and having suitable radius can lead to a notable growth of the directivity of the lasing emission with the conservation of the low thresholds.
