The purpose of the research was to interpret geological and geophysical information in order to update the structural model, as well as to assess the correlation between various seismic attributes and petrophysical properties of reservoir rocks. Structural model was built based on the interpretation of 3D seismic cube and the well logs. The geological setting of the area is very complex, but authors were able to identified three potential oil reservoirs. Facies model was created for each reservoir using well log analysis. Within each reservoir, a spatial distribution of porosity was estimated using the correlation between neutron porosity from the wells and seismic attribute of relative acoustic impedance. As a result, the correlation between porosity and relative acoustic impedance for layers B1-a and B-2 were assessed and the porosity model for these horizons was updated. Based on the updated models, new regions of exploration interest were found. The methodology considered in the article can be applied to improve petrophysical models of neighboring deposits as well as to estimate the spatial distribution of petrophysical parameters for fields with similar parameters. |
