The main features of digital economy development in Russia (By the example of the formalized assessment of demand for block chain technology)

The paper discusses the main trends in the development of the digital economy in Russia in terms of one of its most progressive and sought-after component, namely, blockchain technologies. Based on the collected and processed array of information and statistical data, the paper presents the main parameters characterizing the level of relevance and demand for these technologies in the socio-economic environment at the present stage of development. A key aspect of the study is the developed algorithm for determining the integral value of the demand for block chain technologies in the national economic system. Based on the methods of mathematical and statistical analysis, it allows formalizing and transforming a large array of qualitative data into a single scale measuring the process under study: the change in the level of demand for block chain technology in the current socio-economic environment in Russia. When studying the key trends in “block chainization” of the Russian economy, a high level of activization of business entities in terms of applying and using distributed data storage technologies within the framework of the implementation of operational processes was established by the authors. The main features of the response by public authorities to the process of active diffusion of the studied technologies in the economy are identified.
