Challenges in the development of international ecotourism

The relevance of the study of “challenges” facing such type of tourism as ecotourism is explained by the fact that this type of tourism is associated not only and not so much with the tourist segment, as with the solution of global environmental problems as part of the concept of sustainable development of the world economy. The purpose of the study was to identify and justify the main "challenge" that in recent years appeared in relation to the prospects for the development of ecological tourism. The leading research methods are the method of analyzing regulatory legal documents, analytical, scientific and other materials, analyzing and summarizing the obtained research results. As a result of the study, the main approaches to the study of the concept of sustainable development and its role in the development of ecological tourism were clarified. Both global and local “challenges” in the development of international regional tourism are identified. The materials of the article are of scientific and practical value, as they can be used both in further scientific research in the field of ecological tourism, and in the practical activities of public authorities, including in the development of regional tourism development programs, as well as organizations developing and promoting tours in the direction of "ecological tourism".
