The rise and development of economic journalism in the republic of tatarstan

Abstract

The development of mass-media depends strongly on social-economic state of society. Mass media are in turn the most important economic catalyzator. In this connection in modern society, a system of print and electronic media specializing in the field of economic problems turned out to be stable. The article deals with the survey of the processes of establishment and development of specialized economic journalism in Russia and in the territory of present Tatarstan. Such publishing was had been successful in pre-revolutionary Russia since the middle of XIX century. A ramified system of national newspapers and journals representing interests of all strata of the population emerged in early century. Trade and specialized issues including the first journal of economics for the Muslims in Russia (Economics) were successful in this system. The paper also raises the problems of functioning of modern specialized economic mass media of the Republic of Tatarstan.
