dc.description.abstract	The report investigates the functioning of a Language for Specific Purposes as a means of language competence formation. The matter is based on the research of a competence-based approach in vocational education. It dwells on the sub-professional language of aeronautical engineering which has become the subject of linguistic descriptions in recent years. The examples are taken from 2 major groups of terms: the industry-wide terms and highly specialized terms. © 2013 IEEE.
