dc.description.abstract © 2015, Asian Social Science. All rights reserved. This article discusses the technical and economic efficiency of conversion of gas-turbine engines for use in various industries. Russian aircraft engine production capacity is not able to meet the needs of gas turbine engines for terrestrial applications. The only solution to this situation is the conversion of aircraft engine exhaust their flight hours. We propose a criterion for the relative economic efficiency of aircraft engines conversion, allowing to select the most appropriate type of engine based on its characteristics.
