dc.description.abstract	This article deals with the philosophic and aesthetic principles of J.D. Salinger's poetics and here different means of their expression in the collection 'Nine Stories' are investigated. The author bases on the traditional 'Dhwani-rasa' conception. For creating suggestive moods the author uses a definite set of artistic means. © IDOSI Publications, 2014.
