We have developed hollow multicellular structures by polyelectrolyte- mediated self-assembly of yeast cells around magnetically responsive inorganic templates and have demonstrated the cells' viability in the produced "cellosomes" after the subsequent dissolution of the core-particles. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2009. |
