Revisiting the issue of the long-run competitiveness of the National petrochemical complex

Abstract

This article addresses the issue of the long-run competitiveness of the national petrochemical complex. The authors provide an analysis of implementing a strategic program, identify factors in ensuring the long-run competitiveness of the Russian economy, and provide a forecast for the development of the petrochemical complex as a whole. Within the frame of the strategic planning of the national economy, the authors identify the strategic objective of the long-run development of the petrochemical complex. The article provides an analysis and inferences on the development of national petrochemistry in leading foreign countries.
