dc.description.abstract The short-time behavior of the evolution operator has been investigated in the context of the quantum Zeno paradox. It is shown that the nonlocality during interaction in a quantum system radically changes the short-time behavior of the dynamics, and, as result, the Zeno effect may not occur in such interactions. © Allerton Press, Inc. 2008.
