dc.description.abstract | In this paper, the concept of image informativeness is introduced, which allows one to compare images. The goal of comparison is to select the best image from the point of view of efficiency of predetermined object discovery in the scene with respect to geometrical features. The method for calculation of image informativeness is indicated for Bernoulli scenes without deciphering. For the case of locally isotropic scenes when necessary data for image informativeness calculation are unavailable, an informativeness estimation is suggested. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2009. | |
