dc.description.abstract	The paper considers issues of crude quality effect on crude oil refining efficiency, continued growth of the share of hard-to-recover reserves in the reserves' structure. Official and judgment-based statistics data are presented. Development of petrochemical complex in the Republic of Tatarstan is discussed in some detail.
