dc.description.abstract To solve a one-dimensional second-order differential eigenvalue problem, we use the finite-element method with numerical integration. We analyze the influence of the quadrature formulas used on the error in the approximate eigenvalues and eigenelements. Theoretical results are illustrated by experiments for a model problem. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
