dc.description.abstract	Stages of the forming of lowland-reservoir ecosystems are investigated as exemplified by the case study of the Kuibyshevskoe Reservoir, which is the largest one in Europe. The forming of the main components of its ecosystem has been analyzed, and specific features of individual phases in their development are represented. Special attention is paid to the process of the reservoir ecosystem destabilization, which commenced in the mid-1980s. © 1997 MAHK HayKa/Interperiodica Publishing.
