dc.description.abstract	A procedure for processing the raster graphic (BMP) files of two types: 1-bit (Black and White) and 8-bit (Gray Scale), obtained during scanning, is described. An auxiliary program (QuickBasic) of conversion of BMP-files to data (DAT) files that are suitable for further mathematical processing is presented. An example of the analysis of an electrophoregram of a biopreparation is given to demonstrate the possibilities of the described method. © 1999 MAHK "Hayka/Interperiodica".
