dc.description.abstract | 1. 9-Chloro-10-anthracenealdehyde, 9-anthracenealdehyde, and 9-butylmercapto-10-anthracenealdehyde react with dialkylphosphorous acids in the presence of either sodium alcoholate or triethylamine to give the corresponding dialkyl esters of anthranyl-α-hydroxyphosphonic acids. 2.
